Xcom 2 and Chimera squad are two squad-based tactical shooters that put you in the shoes of the commander as you lead your soldiers to defeat an alien threat. Both games also have their strengths and weaknesses, but with this guide, you can easily get the most out of both games! Read on to see which features they share and which are unique to each game!

Introduction To XCOM 2

This is the remake of the original X-Com. It is a real-time strategy game where you have to build your army, fight against aliens, and conquer planets. As you play through the campaign, you will gain experience points that will allow you to level up and equip yourself with better weapons. You can also choose to customize your soldier’s armor and appearance.

The graphics are great for an RTS game, but it takes some getting used to because it takes place in a top-down view instead of an overhead view like most RTS games. Also, when you are on defense missions, you only get one turn per day which can be frustrating if you lose soldiers because then they cannot be replaced until the next turn which gives enemies more turns to attack them while they cannot defend themselves.

Introduction To Chimera Squad

This game is similar to Xcom 2 but has a few differences. These include:

  1. It is set in a different period (modern-day rather than the distant future).
  2. There are some minor changes in how your troops work (i.e. they do not use alien or viper tech).
  3. The level of challenge is not as steep.
  4. You can play through it without spending money on in-app purchases.
  5. The graphics are better.
  6. You can play multiplayer with friends for free if you have an Android device and a Google account.
  7. It’s free!
  8. You don’t need to wait for turns as you do with Xcom 2.

Difference Between Xcom 2 and Chimera squad

It’s easy to get caught up in the hype when there are so many new games coming out every month. How do you know which one is worth your time? These two games in particular fall into different categories, so what makes them both so special? Let’s take a look at their similarities and differences, and decide which one comes out on top.

1. The Basics

Both games were published by a well-known company, both were rated highly on their launch dates and both are tactical, strategy war games. The two games do have a few differences that players should take into consideration when choosing which one to play. Here are a few things to think about when you’re making your decision

2. Gameplay Mechanics

The core gameplay of these two games is very similar. At their heart, they are both strategy games that force you to choose a team of six or so soldiers from several classes, load them up with weapons and armor, then send them out on various missions to thwart an enemy occupation.

3. Artistic Design

When I think of games in general, one of my favorite things to pay attention to is how well art direction and design work together. With a game like XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which has so many unique-looking elements within each level, it’s easy to see how a poor design choice or some bad art direction could take away from what is otherwise an excellent experience. On its most basic level, that’s not true with the sequel.

4. Leveling Up

A few days into playing a new game, we like to think we’re an expert. But all too often, as we progress, we are reminded of our weaknesses—that time when all but one enemy stayed back on defense, that time when we should have had an item but didn’t. There are good ways to level up in games like XCOM 2 and bad ways; here’s how to get better at them both.

5. The Ability Tree

One of the most noticeable changes in XCOM 2 is its switch to a new ability tree system. It’s also one of its most significant gameplay tweaks because it encourages different approaches to your strategy. In XCOM: Enemy Unknown, you have a pool of points that you can spend on your soldiers’ skills, but after each mission, you can use them on whatever improvements you like.

6. Overall Experience

The reason why I’m writing about Xcom 2 vs Chimera squad is that they are very similar games. Both games have solid controls, smooth gameplay, and beautiful visuals. The only difference between them is that you can play either one with your friends in co-op mode.

Conclusion

The main difference between these two games is that XCOM 2 is a turn-based strategy game whereas chimera squad is a real-time strategy game. However, com doesn’t have as many living units compared to chimera since they are just fighting as holograms. You can also see improvements in graphics and gameplay such as the cloaking system which was added in com. Because of all of these improvements, I like both of these games however if I were to choose one, it would be a chimera.
